Man Am I Tired!


Ever feel tired? Odds are probably yes. Here's what I do to help combat that drowsy feeling:


1.) Use ChatGPT! As crazy as it sounds, talking to this tool online and being completely open and honest about yourself to it allows it to gather information from all over the internet to help you. A huge bonus is since it is so wide sourced in it's efforts to help you, odds are you'll find at least some good help with it! Go and give it a shot!

2.) Exercise: I know, the last thing you want to do when you are feeling sleepy is push it. But surprisingly, this will actually counter the drowsiness pretty well. The fresh blood flow really helps wake things up and the muscles getting used get programmed to kow it's time to be awake.

Pro Tip! Drink a glass of water prior and during exercising will help you survive the grind. what's more, your body needs it to function! It will also help your brain think better as well.

3.) Put on some concentration music: Focus work music or Binaural Beats are a great way to recruit more assistance in the battle to not fall asleep! Sometimes your mind just needs that extra little kick to keep itself in the game. Certain frequencies can actually help promote cognitive function and productivity, so next time you're on social media be sure to try them out!

4.) Get electrolytes and vitamins in you: Your body is a chemical machine. it needs all mannerisms of supplementation and nutrition to be t's very best. That's where electrolytes and vitamins come into play! These will help recharge you as well as balance in deficiencies you may have going on in your diet. The trick is to stay consistent!

5.) Chew gum! I am a culprit of chewing too much gum. That much is true. However! in moderation chewing gum can help you maintain focus and concentration. it can also stave off hunger since eating spikes glucose in the body, and messes with your metabolism in ways that often times just make you want to sit down and digest all that you just ate. Chewing gum is a nice alternative to help you engage with something and not necessarily suffer the crash of say a big hardy meal.

6.) Get cold: Often amount of times the temperature of your work environment plays a big factor in determining your productivity. By getting it a bit chillier than usual, movement will be stimulated and your mind will even hone in on tasks at hand too.

7.)  Deep breathing: This one is interesting. If you have the time to study box breathing it will certainly aid you in your attempt to stay productive. Not only does it help recenter you, it will help you to remain calm in stressful situations too. This one is definitely a keeper!

8.) Collaborate: We are social beings by default. If you can, try working along side someone or go into a room where family members are at such as a kitchen counter or living room. Being around others will aid your subconscious in maintaining alertness and being engaged in the moment. Kind of like a pack mentality trick.

Pro Tip! if you can't find anybody physically to work around try going online to chat rooms or better yet virtual video meetings with other people to help slay your slumber.

9.) Stretch. The old advice still holds true to this day. Stretching helps you stay awake. extending the muscles and then letting them contract back to their normal resting position stimulates blood flow and helps move oxygen around throughout your body. So the next time your dousing off in that chair or at that desk, reach far forward, extend both arms, and let your back get stretched too. If you can, don't be afraid to work those incredible legs of yours too. (really. we don't give our legs enough credit.)

10 Caffeine: ah. yes. more chemicals. Believe it or not though, caffeine in moderation is not a bad choice for staying alert. A very interesting way to indulge in caffeine is to get your hands on some dark chocolate covered espresso beans. Talk about a wake-up call! These beans will rush you awake and help you stay focused. The dark chocolate, since it is just a coating, will not only be good for you but will also help give you some sugar to work off of. The espresso beans on the other hand are well... espresso beans. Much like the espresso shots and coffee shops these beans will heighten your senses and boost cognitive function.
